There is not much wear on the light. There are some light scratches here and there - I have not tried to polish them off. You can see by the cord that the pendant was installed at least temporarily. There is no apparent damage or dents to the fixture. Inasmuch as the light will hang high over your workspace, perhaps the light scratches (if they don't polish out) will not trouble you.
